The game between the Milwaukee Bucks and Indiana Pacers will take place at Fiserv Forum on Thursday, March 16 at 8:00 PM ET.
The Milwaukee Bucks will welcome the Indiana Pacers to Fiserv Forum for an NBA game on Thursday. The Milwaukee Bucks won 104-116 in their last game over the Suns. The Bucks walked into one of the toughest places to play in the NBA, snatched the lead from the Phoenix Suns midway through the fourth quarter and then closed with a flourish to earn a 116-104 victory.
That’s not easy to do. But the Bucks made it look easy. That’s exactly why they became the first team to clinch a playoff berth this season Tuesday night, as well as becoming the first to 50 wins this season.
“We just have a good balance on our team,” Bucks guard Jrue Holiday said. ”At any given moment, somebody can explode.” Giannis Antetokounmpo provided his usual scoring with 36 points while Brook Lopez added 21. The Bucks have won 21 of their past 23 games in an impressive two-month run. The Suns have dropped three straight.
The Indiana Pacers on the other hand lost 117-97 against the Pistons in their last game. Jordan Nwora had 20 points off the bench for Indiana. As they had on Saturday, both teams played with shorthanded rosters. Detroit added Marvin Bagley III (ankle) to its lengthy injury list, while the Pacers were missing Tyrese Haliburton, Bennedict Mathurin, T.J. McConnell and Myles Turner.
Indiana dominated Saturday’s first half inside, but Detroit took control early on Monday. The Pistons had a 20-6 edge on points in the paint and a 15-7 rebounding advantage as they outscored the Pacers 38-20 in the first quarter. Eugene Omoruyi, making his third NBA start, had 11 of his 17 points in the quarter.
“We got a lot of easy shots early in the game on Saturday, but the Pistons really flipped the script on that tonight,” Carlisle said. “Omoruyi starting gave them more quickness and toughness in the lineup and we didn’t get a lot of good shots.”
