In their last three games, the Dallas Mavericks had a 1-2 record. Now that Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving have both been out for Dallas’ last three games, there is no disputing that the Mavs have felt their absence. At this moment, it appears like both Luka and Kyrie are heading in the correct direction with regard to their probable return to play. The Mavs have a big game coming up on Friday against the Los Angeles Lakers.

Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd delivered an upbeat report on the health of his two players. Doncic and Irving were both full participants in Thursday’s practice, according to the Dallas shot-caller. While Kidd has yet to confirm their availability for Friday’s game against the Lakers, the fact that Luka and Kyrie were able to fully practice speaks well for their prospects against a LeBron James-less Lakers squad.

Dallas Mavericks players Luka Doncic and Kyrie Irving missed their third consecutive game on Wednesday as the club opened a three-game road trip against the San Antonio Spurs. Doncic is still out with a left thigh injury that has kept him out since March 11. Irving is suffering from right foot pain.

The Mavericks dropped a two-game series against the Memphis Grizzlies without their stellar backcourt. With less than a month before the playoffs, Dallas entered Wednesday’s game in a three-way tie with the eighth-place Thunder and tenth-place Lakers. Doncic and Irving (after getting traded to Dallas last month) average 60.5 points, 13.7 rebounds, 14.6 assists, and 2.7 steals a game while shooting 50% or higher from the field.

Is Luka Doncic playing tonight against the Lakers?

Dallas Mavericks star Luka Doncic will not participate in Friday’s game against the Los Angeles Lakers at Crypto.com Arena. Doncic took part in a full practice on Thursday, but Dallas has already ruled him out of Friday’s crucial game at Los Angeles.

When teams play the Lakers, they normally return to full strength, and many fans predicted that Doncic might play in this game. However, the Mavericks are definitely treading lightly with their superstar, and it’s difficult to blame them. Doncic last appeared for the Mavericks against the New Orleans Pelicans on March 8. He’s missed the team’s previous three games, and that number will rise to four on Friday.

The Lakers, on the other side, will most likely be without LeBron James and Mo Bamba. Anthony Davis is classified as likely to play, but he’s been probable since returning from his right foot ailment and has only missed back-to-back games. The Lakers presently trail the Mavericks by one game in the Western Conference standings, so this game will be as crucial as any this season. Kyrie Irving, the other Mavericks star, has been labeled as doubtful due to a foot injury.
