Houston Rockets

The Houston Rockets will welcome the Chicago Bulls to Toyota Center for an NBA game on Saturday. The Houston Rockets lost 134-125 in their last game over the Pacers. The Rockets trailed for all of three quarters before rallying with a 15-2 run to take a 110-108 lead with 4:10 remaining. Houston rookie forward Jabari Smith Jr. made a 3-pointer with four seconds left to force overtime.

“Smith hit a hellacious shot to put them in overtime,” Carlisle said, “and we had to come up big.” Indiana’s Myles Turner scored 21 points and blocked seven shots. Jordan Nwora added 18 points off the bench. Hield had 17. Smith scored 21 of his 30 points in the second half and had 12 rebounds. Jalen Green had 24 points, and Kenyon Martin Jr. 23.

Hield broke a 117-all tie with his fifth 3-pointer and Haliburton scored 12 points after that as the Pacers outscored the Rockets 19-10 in overtime. “It ain’t pressure,” Haliburton said. “It’s just basketball. It’s understanding guys expect me to make plays. That’s what I’m here for. … This is part of my maturation as an NBA player and as a point guard in this organization. I love that. I love that expectation for me.”

Chicago Bulls

The Chicago Bulls on the other hand won 96-117 against the Nuggets in their last game. Nikola Vucevic had 25 points and 15 rebounds, Zach LaVine scored 29 points on 12-of-18 shooting and the Chicago Bulls gave their playoff hopes an unexpected boost with a 117-96 victory against the Western Conference-leading Denver Nuggets on Wednesday night.

It was Vucevic’s 40th double-double of the season, the third-most in the NBA. LaVine is averaging 34.8 points in Chicago’s last four games. With the win, the Bulls moved within a game of the Washington Wizards for the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference with 16 games remaining in the regular season. The victory was just the fourth in the past 13 games for Chicago.

“We’ve got a stretch of games that we need to win to get to where we want,” Bulls forward Patrick Williams said. “I think it was good to kind of show ourselves that, but also show other teams that we’re here.”
