Dwight Howard has urged last year’s NBA champions Golden State Warriors to sign him. It is worth noting that the former LA Lakers man has been waiting for a team to sign him this season after becoming a free agent.

However, teams haven’t shown as much interest as he would’ve liked for signing him. While many would lose hope at this point, Dwight Howard is still optimistic about his chances of being signed by a NBA side. In fact, as mentioned earlier, he has put his name forward for the Golden State Warriors to sign him.

During a recent appearance on the Club Shay Shay podcast, the eight time NBA All-Star spoke about his future plans. While making a compelling case for the Warriors to sign him, he said: “I’ve been a warrior my whole life. I started out at my school as a warrior. They need a big, I know they have Kevon Looney and I know they have the young blood Wiseman, but I’m Dwight Howard. Wiseman can learn so much from me because he’s heading in that direction of being a great big man.”

Is Dwight Howard a good fit for the Golden State Warriors?

Last year’s champions Golden State Warriors are off to a rather disappointing start. However, it doesn’t mean that they need a traditional center like Dwight Howard to help them get running. Warriors were able to become the champions last year with the same squad and they could very well do that yet again.

While Golden State Warriors don’t necessarily need him, Dwight Howard could potentially play a vital role coming off the bench. He has done the same with LA Lakers in the past and could very well be a useful substitute.

That said, it is an interesting option for the Golden State Warriors to consider. It remains to be seen as to whether or not he gets picked up by the Warriors with the season already underway.
