The Golden State Warriors won Game 2 of the NBA Finals by beating the Boston Celtics 107 – 88 and in the process tied the series 1-1. Stephen Curry dropped 29 points while Jordan Poole scored 17 points for the Warriors, who outscored Boston 35-14 in the third quarter. Golden State got 12 from Kevon Looney and 11 points each from Andrew Wiggins and Klay Thompson. For the Celtics, Jayson Tatum scored 21 of his 28 points in the first half. Jaylen Brown dropped 17 but had a poor night with 5-for-17 shooting and Derrick White scored 12.

Golden State Warriors had a scoring spree

Similar to Game 1, a scoring spree is what was the deciding factor. The Celtics went on a 48-18 run in the second half to decide the opener; the Warriors in Game 2, went on a 43-14 burst from late in the first half until early in the fourth quarter to turn a tie game into a relatively easy game.
