The Los Angeles Clippers will welcome the Denver Nuggets to Crypto.com Arena for an NBA game on Friday. The Clippers won 113-101 in their last game over the Mavericks. Kawhi Leonard scored a season-high 33 points, Norman Powell added 27 and the Los Angeles Clippers snapped a six-game losing streak Tuesday night with a 113-101 victory over the Dallas Mavericks despite 43 points from Luka Doncic.
It’s the fourth time in the past five games Leonard has scored at least 24. “I thought it was a good game for us with the way we competed and scrapped for 48 minutes,” Clippers coach Tyronn Lue said. “And then Kawhi controlling the whole game and being very efficient with 33 points on 12 shots.”
The Nuggets on the other hand won 126-97 against the Suns in their last game. Nikola Jokic had 21 points, 18 rebounds and nine assists before sitting out the fourth quarter and the Denver Nuggets won their 12th straight home game, routing the weary and short-handed Phoenix Suns 126-97 on Wednesday night.
Bones Hyland added 21 points and Jamal Murray had 16 to help the Nuggets win for the 14th time in 17 games. They reached the halfway point of the season tied with Memphis for the Western Conference lead. “But we’re not satisfied,” said Hyland, who hit five of Denver’s 15 3-pointers.
