The NBA game between the Warriors and LA Lakers will take place at the Chase Center in San Francisco, California on Tuesday, October 18 at 10:00 PM ET.
The Golden State Warriors will welcome the Los Angeles Lakers to the Chase Center on Tuesday for an NBA game on the opening night of the season. Defending champions, Warriors had a decent preseason as they won three games and lost two. They did face some strong names from the west like the Lakers and the Nuggets but they ended up on the losing side.
The Warriors are in a bit of internal turmoil following the spat between Draymond Green but things look like they have been sorted for now. On October 15, Poole signed a four-year contract extension worth $140 million and in the process cementing his place among the big names. As for Green, his days at the Warriors seem numbered as they are not in a place where they can give out another max extension following Poole’s extension.
The Los Angeles Lakers on the other hand had a bad preseason by the looks of it as they only won one game and lost five but that was not the main issue for them. New head coach Darvin Ham was very particular from day one that he wanted his team to be in sync with each other and that seems to have worked.
The addition of Patrick Beverley will give the Lakers much needed depth in defense and the return of Anthony Davis to full fitness should see an uptick in results. Russell Westbrook needs to up his game following a disappointing last season and he has the right coach to do that. LeBron is entering his 20th year in the NBA and still looks like he has a lot to offer on the big stage.
