Nikola Jokic finished the game with 31 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists and it was a flawless game from the big man.
The Denver Nuggets condemned the Los Angeles Lakers to their fourth consecutive loss since the start of the NBA season as Nikola Jokic’s men beat LeBron and the Lakers 110-99. Jokic was the hero of the game as he scored 31 points and had 13 rebounds. Bruce Brown chipped in with 18 points of his own and also had five rebounds and four assists.
This was Denver’s third win of the season and they got off to a good start as they scored 26 points in the first quarter. The theme was set as they absolutely destroyed the Lakers in the third quarter and outscored them 32 to 17.
Nikola Jokic finished the game with 31 points, 13 rebounds and 9 assists and it was a flawless game from the big man. He passed the ball around for fun and ran circles around the Lakers defense. He was ably supported by Bruce Brown who scored 18.
After the game, Bruce Brown spoke to Altitude and said, “We just controlled the paint, controlled the transition points. They (Lakers) are not really shooting well from three right now, so really let them chug up three’s.
On his team’s third quarter performance, Bruce said, “Got out of transition. Made the right play, made easy shots. They didn’t really want to get back tonight, so we just played our brand of basketball.”
On his own performance, he said, “There is this thing called shift and I was a shift guy today and I worked all summer on my shot, so I knew I was letting it fly all the time. My whole career, I have played 1 through 5, so anywhere the coach needs me, I am ready to go.”
LeBron James lost the first four games of the season for only the second time in his career with the first one coming in his rookie season. The Lakers just did not play well and Darvin Ham just can’t seem to get the winning combination right now.
Anthony Davis finished the game with 22 points and 14 rebounds while LeBron dropped 19 with 9 assists and 7 rebounds. Russell Westbrook did not play this game and he was replaced by Austin Reaves who had 8 points.
Anthony Davis spoke after the game and said, “Not really about any other team right now, scouts or schemes, just going out there and doing it for 48 minutes to get a win. Whatever we’ve got to do. That’s the first step. We can build on that.”
Social media was abuzz with praise for Nikola Jokic and in this article, we will take a look at some of the best ones.
Nice to see the NBA’s former best player LeBron James and the current best player tonight in Denver. Nikola Jokic is so special, crown him.

Nikola Jokic took Anthony Davis to school today. Went for 31/13/9, shot 12-13 from 2-point range, beat Davis down the floor all game. Jokic committed his first foul on the Lakers’ first possession of game and his second not until late in the 4th. He guarded Davis the whole night.

Nikola Jokic just finished a game 12/13 from 2 against an elite defender like it was nothing. Joel Embiid has never come close to that

May there never be another debate between Nikola Jokic and Anthony Davis again 🙌🏾
