The Charlotte Hornets will welcome the Los Angeles Clippers to the Amway Center for an NBA game on Monday. The Hornets lost 96-105 in their last game over the Bucks. Terry Rozier led the Hornets with 26 points. Jalen McDaniels scored 21 and Kelly Oubre Jr. 20 for Charlotte, which had its three-game home winning streak halted.
Mason Plumlee finished with 13 points and 11 rebounds. “We can’t win like that,” Oubre Jr. said of Charlotte’s 14 turnovers. “If we’re turning the ball over and the other team is capitalizing on those mistakes, that’s a recipe for disaster.”
The Clippers on the other hand lost 96-123 against the Kings in their last game. The Clippers were again without Paul George (right hamstring tendon strain) and Kawhi Leonard (right ankle sprain), as well as Luke Kennard and Norman Powell. George and Leonard are expected to join the team on their upcoming road trip.
“We have to hold it up until they’re back and then when they’re back, hopefully soon, we can build some chemistry out on the court and some consistency,” said Ivica Zubac, who had 13 points and 15 rebounds for his 10th double-double of the season and third in four games.
