Zach LaVine went off for 20 points in the fourth quarter as he single handedly helped the Chicago Bulls down the Brooklyn Nets 108-99 in the NBA. LaVine finished the game with 29 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds. He scored only 9 points in the first three quarters but took off in the fourth and helped the Bulls record their fourth win of the season.

Zach LaVine started off slowly as he was a doubt before the game started because he was managing his left knee after getting it operated in the off season. Speaking after the game, an ecstatic LaVine said, “We are all aggressive and sometimes you catch a rhythm. That’s all I am looking to do. It’s my fifth game back and catch a rhythm. I am feeling better each game.”

Demar DeRozan also had a good game as he finished the game with 20 points and 4 rebounds. Ayo Dosunmu started the game and dropped 17 points while Goran Dragic came off the bench to score 15 points in just 19 minutes.

Bulls head coach Billy Donovan spoke glowingly about LaVine after the game and lauded him for being decisive in key moments. Donovan said, “The thing that I thought was good for him is that he is finding his rhythm. The one thing I give him a lot of credit for tonight, he made really quick, decisive decisions. It was catch and shoot. He didn’t hesitate, when they were there, he took them.”

Durant shines as Nets lose first match after sacking Nash

Kevin Durant led the scoring for the Brooklyn Nets with 32 points as Brooklyn started the post Steve Nash era with a loss at home. Steve Nash was let go by the Nets after it was evident that he could not take the team forward nor improve after what happened last year. All in all, Steve Nash’s reign as the coach of Nets was a turbulent one and it had to end one way or another.

KD spoke after the game about the situation and said, “It was a roller coaster last few years, but the core of basketball is something we all love to do. Regardless of who is the coach, regardless the circumstances, you still got to come to work, and I enjoyed coming to work with Steve.”

Fans on social media were buzzing after witnessing LaVine’s crazy performance. We have picked out some of the best reactions for you to enjoy.
