The Brooklyn Nets vs Boston Celtics game will be played on Saturday, July 16 at 8:00 PM ET [Sunday, July 17 at 5:30 AM IST]
The Brooklyn Nets will play their final NBA Summer League game against the Boston Celtics at the Thomas & Mack Center on July 16. Both these teams will play this game to sign off their campaign on a high note.
The Nets are coming into the matchup on the back of an emphatic 102-83 win against the Minnesota Timberwolves. Once again young sensation Cam Thomas led the way for the team with a stellar 26-point performance. Day’Ron Sharpe also had a big game, where he scored 20 points and also grabbed 10 rebounds. The likes of Kessler Edwards and David Duke Jr. also chipped in with 16 and 15 points respectively on the night. The Nets were dominant from the word go. They racked up 55 points in the first half and continued getting buckets in the second. This helped them pave their way to a stunning win.
Meanwhile, the Celtics got to an exciting 108-91 win against the Memphis Grizzlies. JD Davidson was the star of the night as he scored 28 points and made 10 assists in 32:39 minutes. He shot the ball at 64.3% from the field and 66.7% from the three-point range. Another player that had a significant impact on the game was Juhann Begarin. The forward scored 19 points and went 9-18 from the field. In the 40-minute game, both teams were able to score a combined total of 199 points. However, in the end, the Celtics had done enough to get on the winning side on the night.
The Celtics have two players that have injuries ahead of this game. Sam Hauser and Matt Ryan both suffered their injuries during the Summer League games. Considering that the matchup against the Nets is not of prime importance, they will most likely sit out of the game.
