The Boston Celtics recorded an impressive 116-110 win over the Golden State Warriors in Game 3 of the NBA Finals and in the process took a 2-1 lead. Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum starred for the Celtics as they scored 27 and 26 points each. Marcus Smart added 24 points and starred in defence as he was instrumental in holding the Warriors to 11 points in the fourth quarter, the third-fewest in a finals game in the shot-clock era.

Steph Curry injured

For the Warriors, Stephen Curry scored 31 points and dropped six 3-pointers. He had 15 points in a 33-25 third quarter by the Warriors but got injured late in the fourth after Al Horford rolled into his leg on a loose ball. After the game, Curry said, “I got caught, obviously in some pain, but I’ll be all right. See how it feels tomorrow and get ready for Friday.” Klay Thompson broke got out of his scoring slump in the series and finished with 25 points and five 3s.
