Robert Nesta Marley, also known as Bob Marley, was born on February 6, 1945, in Nine Mile, Jamaica to English father Norval Sinclair Marley (1885-1955) and Jamaican mother Cedella Booker. His musical career began with the 1961 release of the single “Judge No”.Although the song was highly innovative, it was not very successful. Three years later, Bob decided to form a band called The Wailers with Bunny Livingston and Peter Tosh, who performed all over the world and became icons of reggae music. Marley was a unique artist and icon of a very particular lifestyle, but sadly melanoma on his right leg caused him to pass away at the age of 36. When Ardiles was playing for Tottenham, Marley was often at the stadium to support Spurs. While playing football, the musician stumbled upon the disease that led to his death after noticing a simple bruise on his leg, symptomatic of a tumor. When he wrote this haunting song circa 1979, Marley had already been diagnosed with cancer that led to his death and was already aware of his fate. As such, the lyrics of this beautiful song can be interpreted as an artistic and spiritual testament to the eternal Bob. 

James has also been named an All-Star 19 times, tying Kareem He Abdul and Jabbar for the most in league history.
