Moto GP 2022 Austrian Grand Prix: Schedule, Where to watch, Timing and Live Streaming details

Grand Prix motorcycle racing is the premier class of motorcycle road racing events held on road circuits sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM). Independent motorcycle racing events have been held since the start of the twentieth century. The current top division has been known as MotoGP since 2002 when the four-stroke era began. Prior to that, the largest class was 500cc, both of which form a historical continuum as the official World Championship, although all classes have official status. In the top-flight series, Giacomo Agostini holds the title record with eight, followed by Valentino Rossi with seven and active rider Marc Márquez with six. 

The Austrian motorcycle Grand Prix is a motorcycling event that was part of the Grand Prix motorcycle racing season from 1971 to 1997, and then again from 2016 onwards. The inaugural Austrian grand prix was held in 1971 at the Salzburgring, where it stayed until 1994. In 1995, the Austrian GP was taken off the calendar because the Salzburgring was deemed too dangerous for racing., but would return in 1996 on the then-called Österreichring. After a 19-year absence, the Austrian Grand Prix returned in 2016 and currently takes place at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg.

Schedule

The weekend for the MotoGP Austrian Grand Prix starts with FP1 at 13:25 PM IST followed by FP2 at 17:40 PM IST on Friday, August 19. FP3 will start the day on Saturday starting at 13:25 PM IST followed by FP4 and two back to back qualifying rounds. The race day starts with warm-up for the riders at 13:10 PM IST followed by some high octane racing drama starts at 16:30 PM IST.
