After all, Chael Sonnen isn’t certain about his apparent participation in a hotel brawl. It is discovered that he has been charged with 11 counts, including one felony, in connection with an event in Las Vegas in December 2021. Prosecutors filed the accusations against the UFC superstar last week, according to court documents, charging him with felony violence by strangulation and ten other minor battery crimes.

Officials suspect Sonnen of roughing up six individuals, including one lady, after an incident at a Vegas hotel on Dec. 18, according to the documents.

Sonnen strangled a guy, punched and/or hit a lady, and punched and/or kneed others in the head and face during the altercation, according to the filings.

Sonnen was originally charged with five counts of battery for the alleged altercation, but the case was dismissed by a Nevada judge in January after the Clark County District Attorney told us that “the citation’s notice to appear failed to comply with the legal requirements as set forth by Nevada law.”

The charges were dismissed “without detriment” in January, allowing the state to refile the charges if it so desired, which it apparently did earlier this month. Sonnen has remained silent on the subject to this far.

The 44-year-old was a star in the octagon, having defeated Rampage Jackson, Wanderlei Silva, Shogun Rua, and Michael Bisping throughout his career, and he’s now gone on to become one of the world’s best MMA commentators.

UFC record of Chael Sonnen

Chael Sonnen is an MMA fighter from the United States. He is presently contracted with the UFC as a middleweight. He was a two-time National Champion, an NCAA All-American wrestler, and an alternate for the United States Olympic wrestling squad. Also, his MMA record stands at 31-18-1.

Sonnen’s victory over Brian Stann is arguably his most outstanding performance under the UFC brand. Sonnen dusted a prime Brian Stann, who was coming off an excellent three-fight win run, after returning after a year layoff due to suspension and making his first appearance since losing to Anderson Silva for the first time. He accomplished it in style as well, putting on a fun grappling clinic and clinching the arm-triangle choke. Earning the tap and walking away in a dispassionate, stoic attitude in front of a raucous throng.
