Nate Diaz left his pre-fight news conference with Jake Paul in Texas this evening, claiming he needed to use the bathroom. The UFC great faced off against his YouTuber opponent for the first time since the two agreed to fight on August 5, but he could only keep it in for so long before needing to vacate the stage and relieve himself. Paul was awkwardly left on stage addressing questions before broadcaster Ariel Helwani insisted on his opponent returning in time for a fight.

It had been an unpleasant affair up until Diaz departed the stage, in which Paul acknowledged to wanting to get into his rival’s brain while the duo were really nice to one another. Paul attempted to mimic Diaz with a monkey toy in one especially cringe-worthy scene.

While delivering a statement announcing the event’s 20,000+ pre-sale ticket signups, Paul observed Diaz walking away and asked Helwani, “Is this man leaving?” Before being informed he’d “be right back”. When asked if he was the “toughest opponent” the social media star has ever faced, he said, “I think he’s the dumbest opponent yet.”

After a long pause during which Paul took more media questions, Diaz returned to participate in a face-off that was just as unpleasant as the rest of the event. Both guys raised their fists while posing, resulting in a brief skirmish in which Paul slapped his opponent’s hands before they parted and turned away.

When is Jake Paul vs Nate Diaz?

Nate Diaz and Jake Paul, former UFC fighters, will compete in an eight-round boxing contest against the YouTube superstar. Nate Diaz vs. Jake Paul is set to take place on August 5, and it’s probable that the two men will continue to insult each other until then. Diaz, for example, recently accused ‘The Problem Child’ of taking steroids.

Based on the popularity of both fighters throughout the world, Nate Diaz vs. Jake Paul is anticipated to be one of the biggest-selling events of 2023. UFC president Dana White, on the other hand, is unlikely to be interested. White has long despised ‘The Problem Child’ and his boxing career, with Paul also criticizing the UFC president for his handling of the organization’s fighters.

White has stated again that he has no interest in the impending fight between Paul and Diaz. “I don’t know man. I’ve been trying not to – I like Nate. Nate and I have a good relationship. It’s just, listen, Jake Paul went out and fought a real boxer who was his age, his weight, and he lost. So, as soon as he loses, he goes back to a 40-year old MMA fighter, who’s smaller than him, not his weight. Listen, it’s just one of those fights that – I know some people are into this. It’s just not what I’m into. It’s not my thing.”
