On Thursday throughout the day, the Cleveland Guardians and Minnesota Twins will play the last game of their five-game series. On Monday, Minnesota won the first game, 11-1. The doubleheader between these two clubs on Tuesday ended in a tie, and the game on Wednesday had not yet started when this preview was written. The Twins currently have a three-game lead over the Guardians in the American League Central after winning two of the first three games of the series. Minnesota is currently averaging 4.5 runs per game, is seventh in the league with a.253 batting average, and is tenth in home runs with 90.

In the second game of their doubleheader on Tuesday, the Twins blasted three home runs, propelling them to a 6-0 victory. Byron Buxton blasted his 20th home run of the season, which is a team-high. Eighth-year veteran Jorge Polanco blasted a home run and scored a team-high three runs. On Thursday, Chris Archer (2-2, 3.14 ERA) will make his 15th start of the year. Although Archer is 0-1 in his seven road outings this year, his excellent ERA is 2.76. For the first time since 2017, Archer will take on Cleveland, but in his previous seven starts against them, he has a terrible record of 0-7 with a 5.87 ERA. Behind Archer, the Twins’ defence is ranked 14th with +10 defensive runs saved.
