The points system for bowlers in the official fantasy league for this edition of IPL, is more rewarding for bowlers. A wicket through any mode of dismissal barring a run-out results in 25 points being added. There are several bonuses also involved at the same time. The bonus for a player being bowled or ruled lbw is eight points. A three-wicket haul means a bonus of four points, with the same increasing to eight points in the case of a four-wicket haul. The bonus for a five-wicket haul stands at 16 points. The selection of quality bowlers who will deliver the goods assumes even more importance in such a scenario.

Without further ado, here’s a look at five bowlers you should include in your team without fail:

1) Kagiso Rabada

The South African pacer finished as the leading wicket-taker in the previous edition of the IPL. Rabada accounted for 30 wickets in 17 matches and will be expected to deliver more of the same in IPL 2021. A ruthless competitor like him might well earn a lot of points.

2) Jasprit Bumrah

The MI fast-bowler can be unplayable on his day with some inch-perfect yorkers and variations in line and length. Bumrah picked 27 wickets in 15 games last season, which indicates what an asset he is.

3) Rashid Khan

The spinner is considered one of the best in the business, with his pace earning wickets at regular intervals. Rashid is more than capable of registering three or four-wicket hauls frequently showcasing his calibre.

4) Anrich Nortje

The DC pacer can bowl accurate yorkers at express pace, having developed a strong partnership with Rabada. Nortje picked 22 wickets in the last edition, impressing one and all with his maturity and composure.

5) Yuzvendra Chahal

The wrist-spinner has a knack of picking wickets at regular intervals, with his variations. Chahal is Virat Kohli’s go-to-man and can be a match-winner on his day.
