The Indian Premier League has been played in India and the sub-continent for 13 out of the 14 years that it has been conducted. Only once in South Africa has the IPL ever been held. One might think that playing on sub-continent wickets, spinners could hold the key. But, when one looks at the most number of wickets in a single edition of the tournament, then pacers are the king. In almost ninety percent of the most wickets taken, pacers have dominated. If one looks at the minimum cutoff of 23 wickets, then very few spinners have dominated. Here is the list of most wickets in a single edition of the tournament.
