IPL 2022 SRH vs GT: Hardik Pandya leads Gujarat Titans to 162/7

Hardik Pandya and Abhinav Manohar notched up brilliant knocks to guide GT to a challenging total against SRH in the IPL 2022 contest on Monday.

Hardik Pandya (50 not out) played a captain’s knock to lead GT to 162/7 in the IPL 2022 clash against SRH at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy, Mumbai on Monday. 

Asked to bat, Gujarat Titans top-order, Matthew Wade (19), Shubman Gill (7) and B Sai Sudharsan (11) failed to get their side to a good start.

Hardik Pandya-Abhinav Manohar stitch key stand 

Pandya, however, looked unperturbed by the early blows as he played a responsible innings. But failed to find enough support in David Miller (12) who was sent packing after his 15-ball stay. 

The India all-rounder was, later, well complimented by Abhinav Manohar (35) as the duo stitched an important 50-run stand for the fifth wicket. The middle-order batter smashed five boundaries and one six in his 21-ball knock. 

Pandya, meanwhile, continued to anchor through the innings but Rahul Tewatia (6) and Rashid Khan (0) disappointed with the bat. 

The GT captain hit four boundaries and one six in his unbeaten knock off 42 deliveries. 

SRH fast bowlers display disciplined performance 

SRH fast bowlers T Natarajan and Bhuvneshwar Kumar picked up two wickets each to disallow GT from posting a big total. 

Fellow fast bowlers, Marco Jansen and Umran Malik, meanwhile, picked up one wicket each.
