Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) are one of the well-placed teams to qualify for the playoffs of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022. They are currently at fourth in the table as consecutive victories against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) and Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) have given them the much needed boost ahead of the crucial face-off against Punjab Kings (PBKS) on May 13 (Friday). In the match against SRH, the Bangalore side looked like a determined side as they delivered in batting as well as bowling.
After choosing to bat first, RCB posted a good total of 192/3 after brilliant knocks from Faf du Plessis (73 not out), Rajat Patidar (48), Glenn Maxwell (33) and Dinesh Karthik (30 not out). SRH never looked threatening when they came out to bat and were bowled out for 125. Wanindu Hasaranga was the pick of the bowlers as took five wickets for just 18 runs. Rahul Tripathi (58) and Aiden Markram (21) put up a fight for the Hyderabad side.

RCB has one of the most unwanted record in IPL history. They have recorded the lowest total ever in IPL in a match against Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) in 2017. The Bangalore team were bundled out for a meagre 49 on that day. Five years down the lane, that record remains the same. Their second lowest score is 68, which came against Sunrisers Hyderabad earlier this season.
