Abhishek Sharma plays a fine knock

Chasing the target, Sharma and Williamson, looked in control of the proceedings from the word go. The young Indian batter was the aggressor in the chase while the SRH captain played the role of a perfect second fiddle to him.

Sharma smashed eight boundaries and one six in his 28-ball knock while the Kiwi opener remained unbeaten in his 17-ball innings which included two boundaries.

Later, following the dismissal of Sharma, Rahul Tripathi (7 not out) hit a six to help his side sail over the line.

RCB pacer Harshal Patel picked up the only wicket.

Marco Jansen runs through RCB top-order

Marco Jansen and T Natarajan picked up three wickets each for SRH to bundle out RCB for 68 runs in the IPL 2022 clash at the Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai on Saturday.

Asked to bat, RCB top-order consisting Faf du Plessis (5), Anuj Rawat (0) and Virat Kohli (0), succumbed to a disciplined bowling effort from young South African pacer Marco Jansen.

Later, Glenn Maxwell (12) and Suyash Prabhudessai (15), also failed to sustain the formidable SRH bowling line-up.

The middle and lower-order — Shahbaz Ahmed (7), Dinesh Karthik (0), Harshal Patel (4), Wanindu Hasaranga (8), Josh Hazlewood (3 not out) and Mohammed Siraj (2) — also looked out of touch in their attempt to save the RCB innings.

Jansen returned figures of 3/25 in his stipulated four overs while his fellow fast bowling compatriot T Natarajan picked up three wickets for 10 runs.
