As we head towards the business end of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022, Rajasthan Royals (RR) is one of the teams that has impressed the most. The team led by Sanju Samson managed to come second in the table after fighting for a top 4 finish the entire season. The Royals edged Lucknow Super Giants after final league game due to their better net run rate. RR had one of the best teams in IPL this season with quality throughout the squad. The players with most runs and most wickets this season play for RR. As RR opener Jos Buttler leads the pack in terms of runs scored, Yuzvendra Chahal has taken the most wickets.
RR will be facing Gujarat Titans (GT) in the first playoff at Eden Gardens on Tuesday. Things will get intense as the top two teams face off for a place in the final of the IPL. Like RR, GT is an all-round side with their skipper Hardik Pandya leading from the front with runs and Rashid Khan taking the most wickets. Chahal will have to bring out his best performance to counter the likes of Pandya and Shubman Gill. He will be needing support from Trent Boult, R Ashwin and Prasidh Krishna.

Yuzvendra Chahal has been the wicket taking machine this season in the IPL. He has taken 26 wickets so far in 14 matches. Prasidh Krishna occupies the next spot with 15 wickets in 14 matches. Pacer Trent Boult had bit of an off season in IPL 2022. He has taken 13 wickets in as many matches. RR’s ‘do-it-all’ man R Ashwin comes in next with 11 wickets in 14 matches.
