Rajasthan Royals (RR) leapfrogged Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) into the second spot to take a step closer to book their spot in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2022 playoffs. By virtue of the victory, Rajasthan Royals and Lucknow Super Giants are tied at 16 points from 13 matches in the IPL 2022 points table, but the former side are ahead due to their superior Net Run Rate. A win for the Rajasthan franchise in the final league encounter will ensure them a spot for the IPL 2022 playoffs or else they will have to wait for the results of other matches to make their booking.

IPL 2022: Rajasthan Royals took ‘good decisions’ in the match

Samson was mighty impressed with the all-round brilliance from his team and singled out a few players who came out good. He highlighted that his tamil-speaking ability has helped him communicate with some of his teammates better. “We have been making some good decisions. It is very hard to maintain a chilled out atmosphere when things don’t go your way. Credit to the boys. You keep on losing here and there. We want to go out there and express ourselves as a batting unit. We have a quality bowling line up to defend. Last game also, Ashwin did well. Sometimes you take decisions and look bad when you lose. We can control the intensity.

“Neesham brought some amazing energy on to the field. There is some bonus for having some quality spinners. We can use them any time. I know a lot of Tamil. I have friends and I watch a lot of Tamil movies. Each and everyone went out there and showed some intent despite playing a batter short. You can’t really think much in this format, you just go out and express,” Samson said at the post-match interview.
