The 15th edition of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is going on in full swing. While Mumbai Indians and Chennai Super Kings have already been out of the playoff race, the other teams are still in the race. Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals (RR) have had a great season in the IPL 2022 with seven wins and five defeats in the 12 games they have played so far. However, they are currently placed at the third position in the points table after facing a defeat to Delhi Capitals by 8 wickets at the DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai as well.
Delhi Capitals won the toss and opted to bowl first. Put into bat, R Ashwin smashed a fifty and Devdutt Padikkaal scored 48 and guided their side to post 160 runs for 6 in their allotted 20 overs. Chetan Sakariya, Nortje and Mitchell Marsh picked up 2 wickets each for Delhi Capitals. While chasing, David Warner scored an unbeaten 52 whereas Mitchell Marsh played a match-winning knock of 89 off 62 with 5 fours and 7 sixes as well. Later, Rishabh Pant smashed 2 sixes and sealed the deal for his side that too within 18.1 overs and 8 wickets in hand as well.

Rajasthan Royals have registered a few of the highest totals in IPL history. Their highest score – 226 came in 2020 against Kings XI Punjab (Punjab Kings). They have two more leading scores against Chennai Super Kings and Delhi Capitals which came in 2010 and 2022 respectively as well. They have managed to cross the 200-run mark 14 times so far in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL).
