Arjun Tendulkar is yet to make his debut for Mumbai Indians in IPL 2022 and their coach Mahela Jayawardene opened up on this.
The Mumbai Indians (MI) had a rather forgettable season in the 2022 Indian Premier League. They lost eight consecutive games in the edition before finally opening up their account with their first win against Rajasthan Royals last week. However, on Friday they will play against the table-toppers Gujarat Titans at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai. So far, The Mumbai Indians team management has tried different combinations in their playing XI throughout the season but nothing could really work out. However, one of their players, Arjun Tendulkar is yet to make his debut and their coach Mahela Jayawardene opened up on this.
Arjun, the pace-bowling all-rounder, who is the son of the batting maestro Sachin Tendulkar, was bought by Mumbai Indians in the mega auction ahead of the tournament for INR 30 lakh in February this year. With five games in hand for the Mumbai Indians in this season, fans might see him in blue as well. While talking about this, Mahela Jayawardene shared his views. “Well, I think everyone in the squad is an option. We will see how things go. It is about match-ups and how we can win the matches and our priority is to make sure that we get the right match-ups,” Jayawardene said ahead of the match.
