Mumbai Indians (MI) have had a poor start in the IPL 2022. As they lost all four games so far, they will take on Punjab Kings (PBKS), who will also try to bounce back. MI vs PBKS is going to be the 23rd match of the cash-rich league at the MCA Stadium in Pune on Wednesday (April 13) as well.

Mumbai so far lost all their four matches against Delhi Capitals, Rajasthan Royals, Kolkata Knight Riders and Royal Challengers Bangalore. On the other hand, Mayank Agarwal’s Punjab Kings, have won against RCB and Chennai Super Kings and lost against KKR and Gujarat Titans in their most recent outing in IPL 2022 as well.

And, both teams will try to win when they take on each other at a venue where Mumbai Indians have tasted a lot of success compared to Punjab. Meanwhile, players from both teams are on the verge of making new records.

▶ Punjab Kings player Shikhar Dhawan is 89 runs away from becoming the second player to complete 6000 runs in IPL after Virat Kohli. The veteran opener is also 98 runs away from completing 9000 runs in T20 cricket (overall) as well.

Mayank Agarwal, the Punjab Kings captain is 41 runs away from completing 4000 runs in T20 cricket (overall).

▶ Kieron Pollard, the key player of Mumbai Indians is 4 catches away from 100 catches in IPL. If he achieves the feat, he will become the second player to take 100 catches as an out field player in the IPL after Suresh Raina, who has 109 catches to his name as well.

▶ Jaydev Unadkat, the Mumbai Indians pacer if selected is 4 wickets away from taking his 200th wicket in T20 cricket (overall) as well.
