Australian all-rounder Nathan Coulter-Nile, who was picked up by Rajasthan Royals (RR) in the IPL 2022 auction, has been ruled out of the remaining part of the season owing to an injury. However, Coulter-Nile was a part of the Royals’ playing XI in their first encounter against Sunrisers Hyderabad, where they won by 61 runs as well.

However, during the match, Nathan Coulter-Nile was forced to leave the field without even completing his four overs quota. He did not even play since then, and Navdeep Saini replaced him in Rajasthan Royals’ next two games. While the nature of his injury is yet to be known, the franchise has confirmed that he will not feature in the rest of the season. Notably, in his only match in pink, Nathan Coulter-Nile gave away 48 off his three overs as well.

“Until we meet again, NCN. ? Speedy recovery. ?” the Rajasthan Royals captioned while announcing the news on social media.

Meanwhile, RR have done quite well so far in the tournament. They are the table-toppers right now with 2 wins and a loss from 3 games. While their batting unit, especially the opener Jos Buttler is in sublime form, bowlers are no less. So far they have won against SunRiders Hyderabad and Mumbai Indians as well before losing to Royal Challengers Bangalore.

After the loss against RCB, Sanju Samson said: “I can’t point out one moment where we lost the game. I thought it was a great effort to put up that total on such a slow wicket after losing the toss. Jos and Hetmyer batted brilliantly at the death. Taking the match to the last over with the dew coming in was a great effort as well. (On whether he asked the umpires to change the ball because of dew) No I didn’t, I was confident about my bowlers. DK is someone with a lot of experience. We just need to take our time to set the field. Lot of positives to take out of this loss, and we can learn a lot of things as well.”
