The openers combined well to forge a stand of 93 runs which laid the foundation for the Delhi Capitals innings before Shaw was sent packing by Varun Chakravarthy.
Shaw hit seven boundaries and two sixes in his 27-ball quick fire cameo while the fiery Australian opener continued to anchor the innings for the capital franchise.
Warner, later, was involved in a 56-run stand with captain Rishabh Pant (27) who hit two boundaries and as many hits over the fence in his 14-ball knock.
Incoming batters Lalit Yadav (1) and Rovman Powell, however, failed to do much with the bat as KKR bounced back with quick wickets. Warner, also, lost his wicket to follow the suit after a brilliant knock which included six fours and two sixes.
Later, in an interesting move, Shardul Thakur was promoted ahead of Sarfaraz Khan to join Axar Patel in the middle.
Thakur delivered up to the expectations as he remained unbeaten on 29 runs off 11 deliveries in his blinder off a knock while Patel chipped in with an unbeaten 22 from 14 deliveries.
Narine dismissed Yadav and Powell to disallow them to settle in the middle as he returned figures of 2/21.
