Dusseldorf Nurnberg will take on the Ice Tigers in the Germany DEL on November 30. DĂĽsseldorf. (PM DEG) DĂĽsseldorf EG has expanded its squad again and signed another striker. This is a familiar face in red and yellow: 1.93 m tall American Paul Bittner makes his second move to the Rhine. The 26-year-old left-handed shooter also joined his side for the 2021/22 season, where he scored 11 goals (6 goals and 5 assists) in 26 appearances. After the season they parted ways and Bitner played for Stavanger Oilers in Norway (8 points in 21 appearances). Now back to DĂĽsseldorf.
Sporting Director Niki Montt: “We have thoroughly researched the player market and found the best solution in Paul Bittner. No time is needed, Paul is versatile, plays very well for the team, and can help us out right away. Paul Bittner was born on November 4, 1996, in Crookston, USA. The North American got his first ice hockey experience on his local ice hockey team. In 2012, he transferred to the Western Hockey League and played for the Portland Winterhawks for four years, during which he appeared in 256 games, scoring 88 goals and 100 assists. He was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the second round of the 2015 NHL Draft but did not perform there. In 2016, he moved to the AHL with the Cleveland Monsters. He has 25 goals and 43 assists in 193 appearances. The left-handed shooter moved to the Second Swedish Ice Hockey League in 2020 and Düsseldorf in 2021.
