The East Lake Cup will be held at Atlanta’s historic East Lake Golf Club from Monday, October 24 to Wednesday, October 26, 2022. During the NCAA Men’s and Women’s Golf Championships, the top teams compete in the East Lake Cup, a collegiate event. The East Lake Cup format is designed after the NCAA Golf Championships, with an opening round of stroke play to crown an individual male and female winner and establish seeding for the following two days of match play competition. The golf competition has been conducted regularly at Atlanta’s East Lake Golf Club since it began in 2015. This is the eighth iteration of the competition.
Zip Recruiters, Bridgestone Golf, and World-Wide Technology are this year’s sponsors. There will be a total of 8 teams competing in the upcoming collegiate golf competition, 4 from each of the Men’s and Women’s divisions. The men’s and women’s teams from the University of Oklahoma won their respective groups in 2021. In the men’s individual finals, Chris Gotterup of the University of Oklahoma and Preston Summerhayes of Arizona State University tied for first place. The Women’s Individual title was won by Rina Tatematsu of Oklahoma State University.
The NCAA Men’s and Women’s Golf Championship East Lake Cup 2022 will be available on Golf Channel between 3:00 pm and 6:00 pm from October 24 to October 26, 2022 (Eastern Time). It will also be telecast on NBC Sports.
