Wolves looked a little bit unsettled in their first competitive game under new boss Bruno Lage last Saturday. At Elland Road, although it was the Wanderers, who took an early lead through Daniel Podence inside the opening six minutes, the hosts equalised courtesy of Rodrygo Moreno six minutes before the half-hour mark. And then, an own goal from Rayan ait-Nouri handed the defeat to the visitors. Despite the loss, Lage had so many positives to take from the game, as his side created the better opportunities and performed well for large parts in Yorkshire.
Fulham, on the other hand, made a statement on their return to the Premier League. Marco Silva’s side matched toe-to-toe with the Reds last weekend and surprised everyone who had expected a one-sided victory for Liverpool. Serbian striker Aleksandar Mitrovic was the star performer for the whites at the Craven Cottage. The 27-year-old netted a brace for the Cottagers, while one goal each from Liverpool’s Darwin Nunez and Mohamed Salaha meant that the points were shared.Â

Wolves boss Lage is likely to opt for the same starting eleven that took to the field against Leeds. Hwang is expected to lead the line with Neto, Gibbs-white and Podence in support. If Joao Moutinho does not return from injury, Neves and Dendoncker could pull the strings in the midfield. As for Fulham, Mitrovic is likely to be the target-man up front with Pereira playing behind him. Reed and Palhinha could form the midfield-duo.Â
Wolves probable starting lineup: Sa; Jonny, Collins, Kilman, Ait-Nouri; Dendoncker, Neves; Podence, Gibbs-White, Neto; Hwang
Fulham probable starting lineup: Rodak; Tete, Adarabioyo, ream, Robinson; Reed, Palhinha; Kebano, Pereira, Decordova-Reid; Mitrovic
