Gabriel Fernando de Jesus has come a long way from painting the streets of Sao Paulo to becoming a Premier League title holder. Jesus was probably just another name on the streets of Brazil a decade ago, dreaming of playing football for his country. Palmeiras was the club where things started working out for Jesus as he got his breakthrough season, where he won the Copa do Brasil and was also named the Best Newcomer in the 2015 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A. Jesus also won the Bola de Ouro in 2016 taking his first senior club to their first national title in over two decades.
He made his career-changing move to the blue side of Manchester in 2017 for a transfer fee of £27 million and appeared in 236 appearances for the club, scoring 95 goals. Jesus made his senior debut for Brazil in September 2016 after scoring seven goals for the youth setup. He was also a member of the Brazilian squad that contested in the 2018 FIFA World Cup and the Copa América in 2019 and 2021. After ten titles with Manchester City, he moved to the Emirates in a deal worth £45 million.
