Haaland started his career in an academy in his hometown Bryne in Norway at the age of five. He however made a move to Molde in 2016, and spent two lavish seasons there before signing a five-year contract with FC Red Bull Salzburg – the top flight of Austrian Football. Haaland then blessed the home ground of the Austrian side by scoring 29 goals in his timeframe of 27 appearances for the club.
In December 2019, the German Bundesliga club Borussia Dortmund confirmed the signing of Haaland despite top clubs like Manchester United and Juventus reportedly trying to sign the Norwegian talent.
Haaland made his breakthrough in club football when he scored a hat-trick on his debut for Dortmund. He then became the first player in history to score seven goals in his first three Bundesliga games for the club. He likewise spent his best time at Dortmund by netting 80 goals under 84 appearances in total.
Erling Haaland also won the 2020 Golden Boy award. He was even an integral part in Dortmund’s DFB-Pokal win during the 2020-21 season. The young chap finished as the top scorer of the Champions League too. He even represented his country in various youth-level tournaments.
