Watford are winless in their last three games, having pocketed just two points during that period. Slaven Bilic’s side will need to quickly get back to winning ways, in order to solidify their playoff hopes. Last time out, the Hornets took a two-goal lead, courtesy of goals from Ismaila Sarr and Ryan Porteous, but Reading came out all guns blazing in the final 30 minutes and leveled the score through Tom Ince and Jeff Hendrick. The Golden Boys’ last victory came against Blackpool, mid-way through January, thanks to second half efforts from Tobi Ademeyo and Sarr. It was Watford’s 12th second tier victory of the campaign.
Blackburn, on the other hand, are also on a three game winless streak of their own in the second tier. Their last second tier win came against Cardiff city on January 1, through Bradley Dack’s lone goal early in the second half. It was the Rovers’ 14th Championship-win of the season, but Jon Dahl Tomasson’s side have lost 13 second tier games. Meanwhile , they are undefeated in their last four games across all competitions and that includes a FA Cup fourth round triumph over Birmingham City. Although goals have started to dry up in the final third, the defence has managed to keep back-to-back clean sheets.

Watford boss Bilic is unlikely to make too many alterations to the side that shared the spoils against Reading later time out. Joao Pedro might partner Keinan David up front, with Sarr and Martins occupying the flanks. As for Blackburn, Spanish defender Daniel Ayala is back after recovering from an ankle injury, and could feature on the bench. Gallagher could lead the line, with Brereton Diaz, Dack and Hedges in support.
Watford Probable line-up: Bachmann, Gaspar, Porteous, Cathcart, Kamara, Kone, Choudhary, Martins, Sarr, Pedro, David
Blackburn Rovers probable line-up: Pears, Rankin-Costello, Carter, Wharton, Pickering, Morton, Buckley, Hedges, Dack, Brereton Diaz, Gallagher
