And then, Gennaro Gattuso’s side lost to Atletico Bilbao with a similar scoreline, a week later. Atletico Madrid on the other hand kicked off their campaign with a thumping 3-0 win at Getafe courtesy of a brace from Alvaro Morata and one goal from Antoine Griezmann. However, in their recent outing, Diego Simone’s side conceded twice in the last 17 minutes to fall to defeat against the Yellow Submarine.

Valencia defenders Jose Gaya and Eray Comert will be unavailable for Monday night fixture because of suspension. Meanwhile Hugo Duro is sidelined with injury. Maximiliano Lopez is likely to lead the line with Lino and Castillejo in support. As for Atletico Madrid, Nahuel Molina will be unavailable for the game against Los Che because of the red card he received in the previous game. Central defender Stefan Savic is nursing an injury, therefore Jose Gimenez could join Axel Witsel and Reinildo in the back-three.
