Stoke City shared the spoils against Burnley after Connor Roberts’ 54th-minute opener was canceled out by Harry Clarke, three minutes from time. The Potters are now winless in their last three games. Alex Neil’s side recorded their last win against Hull City (3-0) on September 14, courtesy of Lewis Baker’s brace and one goal from Ben Wilmot.
Sheffield United, on the other hand, suffered only their second league defeat of the campaign in the mid-week, against QPR. Chris Willock’s 51st-minute strike separated the two sides at Bramall Lane. Prior to that, Paul Heckingbottom’s side recorded a 10-game unbeaten run. Despite remaining at the summit, just three points now cover the top four teams in the division. The Blades are now level on points with second-placed Norwich City and are under pressure to show more in the final third.
