Germany will be desperate to register their first win of the FIFA World Cup 2022 when they take on Spain in a mouth-watering contest. Both sides experienced contrasting results in their opener, as Spain put seven without reply against Costa Rica and Germany suffered a massive shock. The Germans lost 2-1 to Japan despite taking a first-half lead. That result has thrown the group wide open, leaving Germany in dire need of three points. However, Hansi Flick’s side will be well aware of the difficult challenge at hand against an in-form Spanish side.

They carried that indifferent form into the World Cup by suffering a stunning loss in their opener.
