South Korea went undefeated in their World Cup qualification, finished second in Group A of the third round and went on to earn a direct spot in the group stages of the prestigious competition in Qatar. The North American outfit managed to finish fourth in the CONCACAF World Cup qualification standings and earned a spot in the inter-continental playoff. And then got the better of Oceania side New Zealand. Joe Campbell’s lone goal inside the opening three minutes helped the los Ticos get the better of the All Whites.

Tottenham-man Son Heung-min, who scored a hat-trick in his last outing for the Premier League club, is likely to join U Hwang and G Cho up front. Midfielder Jung Woo-Young could return to the engine room alongside I Hwang and Paik. As for Costa Rica, veteran goalkeeper Keylor Navas is sidelined with an elbow injury, therefore Aaron Cruz could start in goal. Campbell is expected to lead the line with Torres, Bryan Ruiz and Fuller in support.
