Slovan Bratislava will host Olympiacos in the second leg of their Europa League third round Qualifier at the Tehelne Pole on Thursday night. The first leg at Karaiskakis Stadium had ended in a 1-1 draw after Andre Green’s opener was canceled out by Youssef El-Arabi’s late strike. Both sides were previously dumped out of Champions League second round qualification last month. Slovan Bratislava suffered a 5-3 aggregate defeat to Ferencvaros, while Olympiacos were thrashed 5-1 by Maccabi Haifa over two-legs.

Slovan Bratislava are heading into the match on the back of a dominant 3-0 win over Skalica in a Slovak Super Liga fixture last Sunday. Jaromir Zmrhal, Ivan Saponjic and David Hrncar netted for the Sky blues to take all three points. Vladimir Weiss’ side have made an impressive start to their domestic title-defence, winning three of their opening four games to sit at the summit of the standings. Olympiacos, on the other hand, had won the Super League Greece title last term by collecting 83 points from 36 games. The new league season is yet to start for the Greek outfit and therefore new boss Carlos Corberan’s first assignment is to get his team through to the group stages of Europa League.

Slovan Bratislava boss Weiss is unlikely to make too many alterations to the playing eleven that started in the reverse fixture. Andre Green could lead the line with Kankava and Agbo sitting in front of the back-four. Abena is expected to partner Kashia in the central defence. As for Olympiacos, last game’s goal-scorer El-Arabi could lead the line alongside Masouras and Zinckernagal. Valbuena is likely to pull the strings in the midfield.

Slovan Bratislava probable starting lineup:  Chovan; De Marco, abena, Kashia, Pauschek; Kankava, Agbo; Cavric, Chakvetadze, Barseghyan; Green

Olympiacos probable starting lineup: Vaclik; Pipa, Papastathopoulos, Cisse, Reabciuk; Valbuena, Kunde, M’Vila; Zinckernagel, El-Arabi, Masouras
