Sheriff are currently sitting on top of the Moldovan National Division standings with 10 points from their opening four games. In their recent outing against FC Balti, goals from Steve Ambri, Kay Tejan and Giannis- Foivos Botos helped the Yellow-Blacks secure all three points. Stjepan Tomas’ side have won six of their last seven home games and will be hoping to get the job done in front of their home supporters on Thursday.

Pyunik, on the other hand, haven’t made a great start to their new league campaign, losing two of their opening three games to be languishing at the 8th spot in the 10-team table. Yegishe Melikyan’s side recorded their only league win of the season against Shirak FC on August 13 courtesy of Artak Dashyan’s goal. Meanwhile, in their recent outing against Van, Pavel Gorelov’s lone strike separated the two sides.

Sheriff Tiraspol boss Tomas is likely to opt for a 4-3-3 formation with Tejan leading the line alongside Akanbi and Ouattara. Diop, Kyanou and Badolo could form the midfield trio. As for Pyunik, central defender Zoran Gajic is unavailable because of an injury he sustained in the opening leg. Therefore Stefanos Evangelou could feature on Thursday.
