Possible Lineups

Ellis Simms, who joined on loan from Everton, has already made a good impact at Sunderland. He could be in line for a start on Wednesday. Simms could be joined in the line-up by Aji Alese among others. They are expected to make wholesale changes to give their fringe players an opportunity to get game time on Wednesday. Something similar can also be expected from Sheffield Wednesday. Michael Smith, however, could be absent for them due to an injury. But, on a positive front, Lee Gregory should start for them after missing their last game through a suspension.
