While, their opponents, Dalian Pro have accumulated six points so far and find themselves at the ninth position. Shandong Taishan who were without a win in their last six matches entering into this season’s Chinese Super League have made a more than decent start to their campaign. Other than a massive 4-1 defeat to Henan Songshan Longmen, Shandong Taishan have managed to obtain maximum points in all their other fixtures. They saw off Zhejiang Professional with a 1-0 win on opening day and have also earned priceless 1-0 and 4-0 wins over Guangzhou City and Changchun Yatai respectively. Another three points for Wei Hao’s side will take them amongst the top three and this will provide them with extra motivation to give their best.
Dalian Professional had endured a disappointing run coming into the Chinese Super League winning only one of their last six matches. The fact that they are still unbeaten in the league with draws against Henan Songshan Longmen, Zhejiang Professional and Changchun Yatai and a victory against Guangzhou City is a great positive sign for them. They will be keen to develop their preparations on the back of their unbeaten run so far and possibly earn a win to take them into the top half of the table after five matchdays.
Coach Wei Hao will have a couple of headaches before the match owing to the unavailability of Wu Xinghan due to injury and also the absent Zheng Zheng who will be out due to suspension. There aren’t any more doubts for the game for Shandong Taishan. Dalian Pro, on the other hand, reportedly have no fitness or suspension issues to worry about and will have a full squad available.
