Irish club Shamrock Rovers will play host to North Macedonian side Shkupi in a Europa League qualifier on Thursday. Two sides that were eliminated in the previous Champions League qualifying round will come up against each other in the first leg on Thursday night. Shkupi won its respective league title last season with a comfortable 12-point margin. On the other hand, Shamrock have a healthy lead in their domestic league this season. They have 52 points from 24 games and have a seven-point lead in the ongoing campaign.

The first leg in this match ended 2-2, however, Zagreb won the second leg away from home by a slender 1-0 margin. There is very little to separate between Shamrock Rovers and Shkupi, hence it will be difficult to call a winner on Thursday.

On Friday, Shamrock registered a comfortable 4-0 win over Bangor GG in the first round of the FAI Cup. Their manager made a lot of changes to that clash. Hence, most of the players who were rested for that match could come back into the lineup for the Europa League qualifier. Shkupi do not have a lot of injury concerns going into this clash, hence they could name a strong Starting XI, similar to the one that took to the field against Dinamo Zagreb in the last round.
