Sevilla will host Barcelona in a La Liga fixture at the Ramon Sanchez Pizjuan on Saturday night. Rojiblancos have suffered 2-1 defeats against Osasuna and Almeria on either side of a 1-1 draw against Valladolid. In their recent outing against Almeria, Julem Lopetegui’s side took the lead through Oliver Torres, inside the opening 30 minutes, before Largie Ramazani leveled for Almeria three minutes before the break. And then, ten minutes into the second half, Umar Sadiq scored the winner for Almeria. After the game against Barcelona, Sevilla will next host Manchester City in their opening match of the Champions League campaign on Tuesday.
Barcelona, on the other hand, kicked off their league season with a disappointing goalless draw against Rayo Vallecano. But the Blaugrana quickly got their acts together to register back-to-back league wins, scoring eight goals, while conceding just once. In their recent outing against Valladolid, Robert Lewandowski netted a brace, while Pedri and Sergio Roberto scored one goal each to secure all three points. Lewandowski has now netted four times in his last two league appearances. Barcelona will kick off their Champions League campaign at home against Viktoria Plzen on Wednesday.
