Juventus edge past Torino in the Serie A derby at Olimpico di Torino on Saturday. Manuel Locatelli scored the lone goal of the match in the 86th minute to secure a third straight Serie A victory for Massimiliano Allegri’s side. Torino played better football in the first half but after the restart, the visitors improved themselves as the game progressed and created a number of chances. In another match, Eden Dzeko came off the bench to inspire Inter Milan to a 2-1 victory against Sassuolo. The home side took the lead through Dominico Berardi in the first half before Eden Dzeko and Lautaro Martinez scored in the second half to secure three points for Simone Inzaghi’s side.

In Turin, Moise Kean made a marauding run from the midfield early in the match, but he dragged his shot wide from inside the box. Few minutes later, Mckennie blasted over from inside the area after being set up by Adrien Rabiot’s cross from the left flank.

At the other end, Sasa Lukic missed a golden opportunity with his header while Wilfried Singo’s shot from outside the box went over the bar. Rolando Mandragora tested Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny with a bullet shot from distance.

Allegri replaced Keane with Cuadrado at the break and the Colombian quickly sparked improvement. Cuadrado delivered a brilliant cross to find Alex Sandro’s run inside the box. But the Brazilian’s header from close range was tipped over the crossbar by Torino goalkeeper Vanja Milinković-Savić. Cuadrado forced a save from Savic before Locatelli broke the deadlock, four minutes from time. Federico Chiesa passed the ball to Locatelli who struck from the edge of the box to find the bottom corner of the Torino goal.

Substitute Dejan Kulusevski struck the post before the referee blew the final whistle. The Late goal ensured a third consecutive win for Juventus and they are now placed eighth in the points table with 11 points from seven games. Whereas Torino are tenth with eight points from seven games.

Sassuolo 1-2 Inter Milan

At stadio Citta del Tricolore, the home side took the lead within 22 minutes into kick-off. Referee pointed to the spot after Jeremie Bogga was tripped by Milan Skriniar inside the box. Berardi stepped up and converted the spot-kick to break the deadlock. It was an end-to-end action as Nicola Barella’s drive was beaten away by Consigil and Berardi’s dipping shot was tipped over the bar by Samir Handanovic.

Towards the end of first half time, Gregoire Defrel Latched onto a loose back pass to go clean through on goal and collided with Handanovic, who rushed out of his box, but the referee ignored Sassuolo’s appeal for a red card to the keeper.

After the restart, Inzaghi made four changes at once, and the visitors were immediately rewarded. Dzeko headed in from Ivan Perisic’s cross. The Bosnian has now become the first player to score at least six goals in the first seven Serie A games in a debut season for Inter Milan since Ronaldo in the 1997-98 campaign.

Twelve minutes from time, the referee awarded a penalty to the visitors as Consigil rushed out and nudged out Dzeko just inside the box. Martinez stepped up and converted from the spot to earn three points for Inter Milan. It was the Argentine’s fifth goal in six matches.

The win helped Inter Milan to 17 points from seven games while Sassuolo are placed in the 12th spot with seven points from as many games.
