After losing a tense Derby della Capitale to arch rivals Lazio courtesy of Felipe Anderson’s lone goal last Sunday, Jose Mourinho’s side travelled to Sassuolo on Wednesday. Though substitute Tammy Abraham put Roma ahead ten minutes from time, the hosts managed to level the score through Andrea Pinamonti five minutes later. A slow start in November has seen Mourinho’s side slip outside the top four. Meanwhile Roma have failed to find the back of the net only once in their last 23 Serie A meetings with Torino.
Torino, on the other hand, put two goals past Sampdoria without reply to register their sixth league-win of the campaign. Nemanja Radonjic opened the scoring on the half-hour mark, before Nikola Vlasic doubled the lead on the hour-mark. Having remained unbeaten in seven straight Serie A games previously, Torino have recorded just three wins and three defeats from their last seven league games since September. Their other two wins came against reigning champions AC Milan and Udinese.
Roma probable starting lineup: Patricio, Mancini, Smalling, Ibanez, Celik, Cristante, Camara, Zalewski, Volpato, Zaniolo, Abraham
Torino probable starting lineup: Milinkovic-Savic, Djidji, Buongiorno, Rodriguez, Lazaro, Ricci, Linetty, Vojvoda, Miranchuk, Vlasic, Pellegrini
