Real Madrid will take on Juventus in their final friendly of the pre-season at Rose Bowl on Saturday night. Both sides are heading into the match on a draw in their previous outings. The Los Blancos were held to a 2-2 draw against Club America last Tuesday, while Juventus played out a 2-2 draw against Barcelona in their recent outing on the same day. Real Madrid had a superb season last term, winning the La Liga title and the UEFA champions League, while the Italian outfit had a disappointing campaign, finishing fourth in the Serie A standings.

Los Blancos began their pre-season with a 1-0 defeat to Barcelona before sharing the spoils against Club America. Last Tuesday at Oracle Park, Karim Benzema and Eden Hazard netted for Carlo Ancelotti’s side. After the game against Bianconeri, Real Madrid will take on Eintracht Frankfurt in the UEFA Super Cup final on August 10 before beginning their La Liga title-defence with a trip to Almeria, four days later. The Whites have made only two signings this summer, bringing in Aurelien Tchouameni from Monaco and centre-back Antonio Rudiger from Chelsea.
Juventus, on the other hand, kicked off their pre-season with a 2-0 win over Guadalajara on July 22, before playing out a 2-2 draw with Blaugrana. Moise Kean netted a brace against the Catalan outfit to earn the draw in Texas. Massimiliano Allegri’s team will also take on Atletico Madrid in a friendly next weekend before beginning their 2022-23 Serie A campaign at home against Sassuolo on August 15. Juventus have signed Federico Chiesa on a permanent basis from Fiorentina this summer, while also bringing in Paul Pogba, Angel Di Maria, Bremer and Andrea Cambiaso.
Real Madrid full-back Dani Carvajal could return from an ankle injury and feature on Saturday. Benzema is expected to lead the attack with Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior in support. Valverde, Tchouameni and Camavinga could form the midfield trio. As for Juventus, striker Dusan Vlahovic is likely to come into the starting eleven, therefore last game’s double goalscorer Kean could drop to the bench. Brazilian Bremer is expected to partner Leonardo Bonucci in the heart of the defence.
