West Ham began their pre-season with a convincing 2-0 win over Servette before playing out a 1-1 draw against Boreham wood and then defeated Ipswich in their last outing. Kourt Zouma and Daniel Chester were on target against Ipswich. David Moyes’ side will also take on Rangers Luton Town and Lens before beginning their Premier League season at home against defending champions Manchester City on August 7. Reading on the other hand, wil play AFC Wimbledon and Brighton before taking on Blackpool in their Championship opener in July 30.

Reading have not reported any fesh injury concerns, therefore head coach Paul Ince is likely to rotate his squad as much as possible in order to build the fitness and test the new recruits. New signing Shane Long is expected to make his second unofficial debut for the club alongside Joao upfront. As for West Ham, central defender Angelo Ogbonna is expected to get some game-time after recovering from a knee surgery. International stars Tomas Soucek, Declan Rice and Jarrod Bowen are all back in training and should get some game-time against the Championship side. New signing Flynn Downes, who completed 90 minutes against Ipswich could feature in the starting eleven on Saturday.
