Rayo Vallecano got the better of Sevilla last week courtesy of Alvaro Rivera’s lone goal on the hour-mark. It was the Vallecans’ fifth league-win of the season. Rayo will bring a four-game unbeaten run into the contest, meanwhile which has included victories in their last two fixtures at home to Cadiz and away to Sevilla. Andoni Iraola’s side also managed to secure a 1-1 draw away to Atletico Madrid on October 19. Meanwhile the Red Sashes have lost both their fixtures against Los Blancos during the 2021-22 campaign.
Real Madrid, on the other hand, shared the spoils against Girona in their last outing after Vinicius Jr’s 70th-minute opener was canceled out by Christhian Stuani ten minutes from time. Meanwhile Los Blancos finished the match with a man less after Toni Kross was sent off in injury time. Real Madrid have recorded 10 wins and two draws from 12 league-games thus far. After that, Carlo Ancelotti’s side thrashed Celtic in the mid-week. Luka Modric, Rodrygo, Marco Asensio, Vinicius and Federico Valverde all got on the scoresheet for the Los Blancos to help them record a fourth Champions League-win in six outings this term.
